”Wool wears better than any other fabric,
natural or synthetic,
is sustainable, constantly renewable and totally recyclable.”

The humble British sheep, from which comes our fabric is the most versatile of animals.

Rightfully considered by most to be dumber than
the rock walls that surround them, they provide
food as well as clothing. Sheep have shaped
landscapes, ended feudalism, and spurred the
industrial revolution. They were even pressed into
wartime service as lawn mowers. Experts tell us
that because of the cool and damp climate in which
they are raised, British sheep produce the world’s
heaviest, warmest fleece.

Our choice of wool for our flagship fabric is
simple and is guided by the same philosophy that
shapes our production. We want to offer you the
best. Wool, specifically the fabric woven by our
supplier at the Lochcarron Mill in Selkirk, Scotland
is the best – period.

Wall. Roman soldiers who patrolled the Wall in the
4th Century A.D. did so in woolen clothing.

Wool keeps its wearer warm in the cold, cool in the
heat and retains its full insulating quality even when
wet. Wool can be treated for stain and wrinkle
resistance and will accept fire retardants. It accepts
dye truly and consistently and its colors are woven
in rather than printed on. "Wool wears better than
any other fabric, natural or synthetic, is sustainable,
constantly
renewable and
totally recyclable".
