Welcome to Tartans of Maine

Tartans of Maine is now licensed to commercially produce items in the exclusive Maine State Tartan© pattern. We began  with heirloom quality neckties and scarves, and decided to make this our flagship plaid.

Combining vibrant azure and deep blues with forest green and a red stripe the Maine State Tartan© symbolizes all that is Maine. Our Scottish wool fabric is noted for its lightweight warmth and durability. The colors and classic designs coordinate well with a wide variety of clothing styles and applications.

Each necktie and scarf that leaves our workshop has been made entirely by hand using timeworn traditional methods. Our goal is perfection. Excellence is our standard.
